Great photo! Perfect framing (focus) and wonderful lighting. The woman with the umbrella catches ones attention and sets the mood of this composition.

Hi!
Can you please tell me what lens have you used? This is the first time I am seeing such an out of focus area and I'd like to try it myself.
Thank you!

Location
I had taken a ten day vacation to Ireland. This shot was taken from the front seat of a bus heading through downtown Limerick.Time
For the most part the day was overcast with occasional rain. It was mid-afternoon when rain began to lightly fall.Lighting
In flat lighting situations I let the camera do its thing (often Aperture preferred); unless, of course, the subject is fixed, at which point I consider bracketing.Equipment
I had my Nikon D5200 with its 18-55 zoom in my lap, the ISO at 200, Aperture preferred at 1/500Inspiration
Inspiration came from the silhouetted figure crossing the street, surrounded by shades of gray throughout the scene and highlighted by the light reflected off the street. I found that the various points of colored lights added a touch of vibrancy in contrast against the gray.Editing
I cropped slightly top and bottom and added bokeh top and bottom after adjusting contrast. I wanted to make the silhouette stand out a bit more.In my camera bag
If I load a lot, the bag becomes super heavy, which is distracting and takes away some of the fun...so I pre-plan for the shoot or for the day. Normally, I will take two Nikon cameras and two lenses, tripod or monopod. And regardless of situation I always carry two remotes to keep hands off the camera as often as possible.Feedback
If shooting for yourself on vacation of day trip, avoid overloading with a lot of equipment. Try to pre-plan and anticipate. I learned a very long time ago that when you can see, that is COMPOSE, without camera and lens in front of your eye, you will create better images. The brain is the creator of great images, not the camera.
