Klip Dagga plant (Leonotis nepetifolia), is native to tropical Africa, it is declared as an exotic-invasive species in some countries. It forms large colonies mainly on the banks of rivers and wetlands displacing native species. In the Nature Reserve Laguna de Sonso (Ramsar site), Valle del Cauca, Colombia, it has already colonized some areas, which are used by several species of insects, spiders and birds, especially hummingbirds, such as this Rufous-tailed Hummingbird (Amazilia tzacatl) that is feeding on its flowers.
