The lines fascinated me--and the unknown destination. Lines of the telephone poles, the fences, the road itself, and the intruders on rustic America--the modern windmills. In the old Horse Heaven Hills of Washington State, the wild horses, alas, long gone. The road did take me where I did not expect to go, above the shores of the Columbia River.
