I created this bird picture of an American Eagle perched on a branch at the Lowry Zoo in Tampa Florida during mid June of 2018. I believe that this proud National Symbol is injured and unable to live in the wild, but is receiving a lifetime of care at the Lowry Zoo. This predatory bird is one of the larger predatory birds that live in North America. In the wild this hunting bird preys on a variety of animals. One of it's preferred prey is fish, earning it the nickname of "fish eagle".
