Location
I took that photo about 50 meters from my door, over the community lake. That lake is a continuing source of inspiration for me, with its beautiful sunrises and sunsets, numerous birds and trees surrounding it.Time
This was early morning, just before I set off to go to work. I was struck by a rare condition of light low-lying and bright-yellow morning sun. I did not have much time to walk around and explore different points and angles, so I grabbed my camera and took a few pictures from the point closest to my house.Lighting
The natural light was just amazing, and it shining towards me - that is the way I prefer it, in general. And there was really no time to run around, first because I had to go to work, and second - because the fog was quickly disappearing.Equipment
I used my Canon 77D and the most universal lens I have - Sigma 18-300 Contemporary. I found that such a combination plus central focusing works best for me 90% of the time.Inspiration
I was inspired by the rare lighting conditions of the light fog and the morning sun.Editing
In post-processing, I did just a few basic adjustments: Lens correction, contrast, black and white levels and brightness. In my camera bag
My 90% -cases combination is Canon 77D and Sigma 18-300 Contemporary. I also keep a wide-angle 10-20 lens and a 60mm macro lens in my bag, along with a spare battery, remote, and a tripod in the trunk.Feedback
You need an early morning, sun, fog, and some luck to take such a picture.
