To have this set with you safari, you’re looking at a $10,000 price tag.

3 - X1 L’Eclaireur Limited Edition

This vintage style of this Leica X1 was designed by Gilles Ouaki for L’Eclaireur, a boutique and concept design store found in Paris. Celebrating the store’s 30th birthday, only 30 editions were made which originally sold for around $3,000. It features red leather styling with a graphic of a film strip lining the bottom, a homage to the countless historic photos taken with the 35mm film format.

4 - M9 Audi Titanium Limited Edition

Leica partnered up with fellow German brand Audi for this supercar of a camera. They enlisted Audi designer Walter de’Silva to work over their 18-megapixel M9. The result was a M9 made of elements used to build Audi’s, starting with ultra-light, ultra-strong titanium for the body. It comes with a full shoulder holster with Nappa leather straps and an Alcantara micro-suede case, a reminder of the luxury interior trim found in Audi’s. The Summilux lens is also encased with titanium. Another performance upgrade is a new LED illumination for the viewfinder, reducing the amount of light required. It also comes with a collector’s coffee table book, sharing the design and making of this exclusive camera. To own one of only 500 made, you’ll have to cough up enough for a low-end Audi with its $30,000 price tag.

5 - M7 Xinhai Revolution Limited Edition

Released last year in China to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Xinhai Revolution. Draped in stylish green leather, it includes inscriptions to mark the revolution on the lens and top of the body. It also comes in a special wood box with a matching plaque. 101 editions were made, with a price tag of around $11,000.

6 - M9-P Red Leather Limited Edition

Only 30 of this limited edition were made, exclusively for the Leica Futako-Tamagawa store in Tokyo. It comes wrapped in attractive red leather, with an added leather wrapped handle. It has a silvered top and Leica Elmarit lens. It was selling for $16,000.

7 - M9 Neiman Marcus Limited Edition

Specialty retailer Neiman Marcus is known for their luxury products and exclusive editions, making a perfect match for Leica. It’ll cost you $17,500 for one of 50 sets, but it includes more than just the beautiful camera you see. First it’s dressed in brown ostrich leather, including a matching ostrich leather strap. Like many, it is finished in classic silver chrome, with a matching Summicron lens. One notable luxury feature is the use of almost scratch-proof sapphire crystal glass for the 2.5 inch LCD display, most commonly used for luxury watches. It also comes with the full suite of Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom. And as usual for Neiman Marcus, they have gone the extra mile: the set will be delivered by an actual Leica photography expert, which includes a private training and orientation session. It even includes a 3-year warranty, certificate of authenticity and a personal letter from Leica CEO Alfred Schopf.
8 - M9-P Hammertone Limited Edition

The Hammertone limited edition trades in the usual silver chrome finish for a hammertone paint job for its body and included Elmarit lens. Used to protect metal, this special paint gives a ‘hammered metal’ look, giving it its name. The textured black wrap isn’t leather, but a grippy vulcanized rubber. Like the previous camera, this one uses sapphire crystal for the LCD display. Released last year to celebrate the 5th anniversary of the Leica Ginza store in Tokyo, it was limited to 100 sets with $15,000 price tag.

9 - M9-P White Limited Edition

This clean and fresh white-lacquered look of this M9-P costs a staggering $31,000. It was released this july to celebrate the opening of the Leica Daimaru store in Tokyo, with only 50 made available the the store directly. It again features a silver chrome upper and included Nokuti lens, but comes wrapped in lush white leather with a matching strap. Other than the limited amount and look, it doesn’t seem to justify it’s price compared to more unique models. People are sure to enjoy the white design and there is enough demand for these limited editions that they are sure to sell out.

10 - MP Golden Camera Limited Edition

This opulent Leica was released in 2010 to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the People’s Republic of China. Only 60 sets were made, numbered from year 1949 to 2009. The camera shines with a coating of 24-karat gold, which includes the gold Leica Summilux lens. It is marked with a Tiananmen Square pattern and Mao Zedong’s saying “Long Live The People’s Republic of China”. It is wrapped in imperial red calfskin leather. It comes in a wooden box with a matching plaque. It sold only in China for $30,000.
