Location
I took this photo in the City Cemetery in Asheboro , North Carolina. One of my favorite places to photograph.Time
This is one of my favorite objects to photograph. Took this photo roughly 9-9:30 in the morning, trying to capture that beautiful early lighting.Lighting
I keep bare bones with lighting. Use what natural light is available to me. I f I have to, I come back, time and time again to try different times of day and also different weather days as well.Equipment
For this shot I was using an old Canon Rebel XT with a 15-80 lens. I have since upgraded to a 70D.Inspiration
There is just something about this statue that speaks to me. Draws me back at different times of day and all through out the year through the different seasons. There is just a peace and serenity with this staue that reaches out to me.Editing
no post processing, what you see is what you get.In my camera bag
Now, I just run with a Canon 70D, 15-80 lens and a 75-300 lens. Lately, been doing a lot of work with just my 15-80 lens.Feedback
Keep it simple, don't over complicate it. Work with what conditions and lighting you have and let the creativity flow. Use natural light as much as possible.
