Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken at Yosemite national park. My fiance and I were on vacation with her parents, we were celebrating her 50th birthday. We decided to take the tram tour around the valley. The tram pulled off along side the road next to the Merced River.

Time

This photo was taken around 2 p.m. on a beautiful September day.

Lighting

The lighting was provided by the sun.

Equipment

I shot this using a Nikon d3200 nikon 18-55 mm lens hand held

Inspiration

I saw the reflection of El Capitan in the river and it was broken up by the boulders in the water and it made me thing how waer and boulders carved out this wonderful valley

Editing

I used nikons processing software to clarify the photo just a little

In my camera bag

I usually carry a nikon d3200 with a nikon 18-55 mm, 55-300 mm lens and a mafrotto tripod

Feedback

Before taking the shot just close your eyes for a couple of seconds and imagine the image on your wall. Think about what details you would like it to have that will make it interesting for others to view then take the shot
