Lovely! Nice framing with the tree in the corner! I love the idea behind long exposure shots. I definitely need to take more in color instead of just B&W.

Thanks! The framing is as it is, because it was raining on and off and it was very slippery lol, I didn't want to carry my tripod and camera any closer in case we all took a dip! Then my Viewbug days would be over hehe. I am guilty of loving B/W too much for portraits...Landscapes I've tried it, but am never happy with it. I love other peoples, but mine I'm not sure of. :)

Thanks, I was lucky that it was after heavy rain fall the day before, so it made it even better. :)

I really love the moss, the color of green and the silky running water. voted

Location
This was taken at Torc Waterfall, Killarney, Ireland.Time
Taken in the afternoon, the day after very heavy rain.Lighting
It was dull and overcast, with clouds threatening to unleash more of their rain from the day before.Equipment
I used my Nikon D3100, the standard kit lens, a very cheap tripod (which has since broken).Inspiration
Since getting my camera I had been itching to get out and take some long exposure shots of flowing water. I was so lucky to see it like this, as on a normal day it is no where near as impressive.Editing
I took 3 different exposures, at +1, 0 and -1. Then merged them together using Photomatix, I then took this into LR and messed around a bit more.In my camera bag
I always have spare memory cards, my kit, prime (40mm) and 55-200mm lenses, a cleaning kit, a cloth to wipe the camera, my remote, wired for the D3100 and my SB-400 flash, though I rarely use that to be honest. I also carry my ND 08 filter with me, though with all the water flying around it is hard to use up at Torc Waterfall.Feedback
Go out and experiment with different apertures and different shutter speeds. You don't need an expensive filter to get results like this. My shot was 8 seconds or so, 3 different exposures. But with the right aperture and shutter settings you can get similar results around 2 second shutter speeds. :)
