Location
Outside on my terrace in Tarifa, Spain.Time
Middle of the afternoon - bright sunshine!Lighting
Pure natural light... Normally I would avoid bright overhead sun, but sometimes it can be put to good use.Equipment
Nikon D300, Sigma 105mm, a mirror and some coloured pencils.Inspiration
I was looking to combine two favourite subjects: playing with shallow depth of field and bright rainbow colours.Editing
Really very little. In my camera bag
I've now switched mainly to Fuji, so carry an X-T1 and /or X-T10, plus a selection depending on circumstances from Samyang 8mm, Fuji 27mm, Fuji 18-135mm, Fuji 50-230mm, Fuji 100-400mm and 1.4x teleconverter. But the Nikon still comes out on occasion eg. on the beach shooting windsurfers and kitesurfers with a Sigma 150-500mm.Feedback
Shallow depth of field is simple and effective - just look around for some interesting objects and play away!
