Either ready to pounce on prey, or silently saying 'are you looking at me '!!.. ???? Excellent shot and works great in b&W makes it more menacing lookin... ????

Yes, or he may have been embarrassed. This was at "Eagle Days" at Squaw Creek in Missouri a few years ago. We were indoor as the conservation staff was sharing facts with the audience about different types of birds that visits Squaw Creek. Thank you so much for the compliment:)

It was daytime, but also indoor. It was a cold rainy day that day. I attended eagle days at the refuge center and they had this eagle captive to show the crowd how big the eagle is and answered several questions in regard to the life of a normal bald eagle.Lighting

Canon xsi with 75-300 zoom lens.Inspiration
This photograph was not staged. I only photographed the subjects that the refuge center shared with the crowd.Editing
I did change this image to black and white and enhanced the eye and beak with contrast, sharpness and clarity in lightroom. I also did a little crop to this image to bring the subject closer and to get rid of distracting subjects in the background. This is an old image from about 4-6 years ago. This was one of the first images that I felt alright about changing to black and white. It took me awhile to feel comfortable in changing a color photograph to black and white. In my camera bag
I carry canon xsi, canon 70d, 75-300 zoom lens, 18-55 lens and some filters. I just got some polarizers and have yet to try them out, but soon will:) I'm curious to see how much of a difference they will make.Feedback
In my opinion this is not a great photograph. My photography has improved over the years and I can now see so many things wrong with this photograph, but thank you for viewing it:) Advice? Be sure the eye is sharp in every photograph you take; animal or human. The rest of the image doesn't necessarily need to be in focus.
