I took this photo not far from my home in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado.Time
We had been driving around most of the day looking at the beautiful changing leaves of the Aspens, this was one of the last shots I took in evening with setting sun.Lighting
I am self taught so I'm not skilled in post processing yet. I took a few shots of this scene and this was the only one that I managed to naturally get the sun beaming through. Late in the evening the sun was so beautiful on the leaves of these majestic trees.Equipment
This was shot with a Nikon D5200 with an 18-55mm lense. No other equipment was used.Inspiration
I take photos of everything! When we came to this grove of aspens in a valley below the road I think it was just natural for my husband to pull over and tell me to get out and go.Editing
I upped the contrast and temp. Like I said before I'm not very educated in this area yet so I keep it all pretty simple for now.In my camera bag
I don't have much so I keep it all with me at all times. Nikon D5200, 18-55mm, 55-300mm, 200-500mm, some extension tubes and a tripod. Extra batteries is a must.Feedback
Get low, really low. I wish I'd have had a better wide angle lens. But work with what you have! Watch the sun, be patient. Turn around, something amazing might be behind you. Walking through this grove everywhere I turned it was so amazingly different!
