Location
This photo was taken at the end of February 2015 during an unusual cold and snowy snap at the Old Mill in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee!Time
We walked to the Old Mill from our hotel around 8 am and were mesmerized by the clear beauty of the area!Lighting
It was overcast and the forecast called for more snow but I like the lighting as it was as the colours complimented the scene.Equipment
This is a hand held shot with the Canon 6D and the 24-105mm lens which is a terrific walk around lens.Inspiration
Sheer beauty!Editing
Mmmmm This was taken in February 2015 and now it is August 2016 so let me think. This was one of the pictures that took very little post processing as I remember but I typically do a levels adjustment and sharpening to the finished product. In my camera bag
My Canon 6D with the 24-105mm lens with hood, a Panasonic underwater camera, extra battery, microfiber cleaning cloths, garbage bag for rain, circular polarizing filter. That is it, normally, when I am on the road.Feedback
The scenery was so exciting that it was a pleasure to take the pictures and relish in the surroundings. Advice? I think being at the Old Mill at 8 am on an unusually cold morning helped as there were fewer people which helped to add to the solitary beauty. I try to travel light but then that is easy for me to say as my husband carries any overflow of gear! :-)
