The Eiffel Tower at night is a magical place. This is one of the telescopes you can use and the second level. The lights in the city took on a bokeh effect, surrounding the telescope. This was captured at the middle platform on the Eiffel Tower. At night, yellow lights illuminate the tower, so white balance as adjusted to what my eye saw.

Location
This image was captured on the middle platform of the Eiffel Tower in Paris around 10pm. I was capturing images of the city at night and saw this telescope. With the night light in the background, and the lights on the Eiffel Tower, it had a lovely golden glow.Time
Nighttime,10pm local timeLighting
The only lighting was the city lights below and the yellow lights on the Eiffel Tower.Equipment
Nikon D800, 28-300 at 68mm, ISO 6400, f5.6 at 1/60th shutter, no flash, 500 feet up in altitude, no tripod.Inspiration
The golden glow and the brass/black on the telescope caught my eye. I wanted just the telescope in focus with the city night lights below. This did create a bokeh effect on the city lights below.Editing
This image was adjusted in Lightroom. I adjusted the Exposure and reduced the Highlights, and changed the White Balance to what my eye saw.In my camera bag
Nikon D800 camera, Nikkor 28-300 mm f3.5-5.6 ED VR lens, Nikkor 60mm Micro lens, polarizer filter, neutral density filter, extra batteries, rain cover, lens cleaner and cloth, camera manual, gray card, extra 32GB compact flash cards and16GB SD cards, microfiber cloth for rain drops, iPad camera card reader, battery charger, bubble level, tripod (carbon fiber), tripod head and mount, Opteka GPS tagger, small notebook and pen, a TILE in case I loose track of my bag, and business cards.Feedback
Be there at the right time. My dad always said, "f8 and B there." I recommend highly the Viking River Cruise Cities of Light cruise. I ended in Paris, after starting in Prague. After a 12 day trip, being at the middle height of the Eiffel Tower at night was a highlight of the trip!
