This photo was taken from the balcony of the Young Men's Buddha Association in Kandy, Sri Lanka. The photo is of the Bahiravokanda Vihara Buddha Statue. Interesting fact: My tour guide (who went by the name Wicky) told me that all students in Sri Lanka must take religion classes, regardless of their faith. He attributed the lack of religious tension in the area to this fact.
