It was early morning on the mud flats at Lake Clark National Park in Alaska. Mama Bear, a coastal grizzly bear, was digging for clams assisted by her two young cubs. Mama wasn't too inclined to share the results of her digging, leaving only a few scraps for the cubs. The seagull wasn't just an observer. She jumped in to eat any remaining bits of clam.
