"There are no mistakes, only happy accidents." ~Bob Ross
During my week in Maine, exactly one day was slated to be clear. So, that was the day I picked to drag my happy ass out of bed at 2AM and cruise down to the Thunder Hole overlook to shoot the Milky Way. While I was still adjusting my settings, I noticed a faint meteor in one of my shots. Coincidence, I thought. Then a few shots later, I saw another. When I framed this shot and started the exposure, I saw two of the light ones first, followed by the green fireball. I checked the review on my viewscreen and saw that I had captured them all, as well as two more. I couldn't believe it. I couldn't think of any meteor shower in May, aside from the Eta Aquarids, but didn't know much about them. I usually ignore that shower each year as the light pollution in my home area drives them into obscurity. A quick check online once I got back into cellular coverage confirmed my suspicion that I was out, by happenstance, at the peak of the Eta Aquarid shower.

Nicely done. I always seem to get planes and satellites. Never metors. You didn't stack this?

Thank you much! No stacking, just a single 25-second shot at ISO 12,800.
