Location
So, this photo was taken when we were out on a little trip to the beach with our family.Time
It was around 3 PM in the afternoon.Lighting
Because the sun was almost directly above us, the lighting was very harsh. I wanted to expose for the highlights, and underexpose her face, so I wouldn't lose any detail in the highlight. I fixed the exposure later in Lightroom.Equipment
I shot this photo with my trusty Canon 5D mark II. I know it is an older model, but it does the job for me. The lens I used was the 50mm 1.8, so this is quite a cheap setup.Inspiration
Me and my sister, who models for me, were trying all sorts of poses, but I liked this one best.Editing
I edit all of my photos in Lightroom CC. I love this program and I have developed my own editing style over the last few years. In my camera bag
I always stay with my 50mm 1.8. I don't have the biggest budget as I am a student, but I work with what I have.Feedback
My tip to be creative would be, don't try too hard to be creative and have this idea in your head you have to be really creative right now. When you just go with the flow, that's when you will get the most creative and goodlooking shots.
