Personally Patricia I would have cropped the sky more to the darker area giving more of a thirds ratio too. I always ask myself what is strongest in an image the land or the sky and crop whatever is weakest. Lovely composition and natural muted colours too.

Location
This photo was taken in Newport, Oregon. The picture was taken on a cliff located directly from the road. Not a good area for picture taking but only place I could get the shot I wanted.Time
The picture was taken around noon on a stormy spring day.Lighting
It was our first trip to Oregon. I was their on work related travel and I had scheduled a deep sea fishing trip for my husband. The weather was particularly awful that day. The seas were roaring. I was very concerned for my husband. We had scheduled the event months in advance so there was no backing out. I took the picture after I dropped him off at the marina. I love bridges and immediately fell in love with this one and the town of Newport. I tried to capture the mood of the day. I knew it would be a gloomy picture but I also realized that the uniqueness of the bridge would not be overshadowed by it.Equipment
I can’t remember which camera I used but I am sure it was a Canon (either a Powershot or D50). It was a hand held shot without a flash. The picture was taken prior to 2010.Inspiration
The bridge was my inspiration - as I previously mentioned - I love bridges. I don’t enjoy traveling over them, especially when there is water beneath, but I am fascinated with their architecture and magnitude.Editing
Yes, very little post processing was done because I am new to PP. I cropped it and lightened where I could (it was a very dreary day). I intend on revisiting this picture when I learn LR and PS. I would like the clouds more dramatic. In my camera bag
Back then, I only had a camera. Now I carry a flash, filters, tripod, several SD cards and batteries, two cameras (Canon 5D iii and 7D ii) and various lenses, depending on what I plan on shooting.Feedback
Look at your subject from different angles to find that shot you have planned in your head. Back then I didn’t know what I know now but I knew how I wanted to capture the bride and the climate at the time.
