Two continuous light, daylight balanced soft boxes were used to light this image.

Equipment

I captured this image with a tripod mounted Olympus E-5, fitted with a 14-54 mm Zuiko zoom lens with an effective focal length of 27 mm.

Inspiration

I have an extensive antique camera collection and wanted to create a couple of images of some of my favorite pieces.

Editing

The only post processing to this image was cropping, slight touch up of some dust, and converting to black and white.

Feedback

For an attractive still life image, frame the image concept in your mind, then play with it till you are satisfied. Then try several different lighting modes to find the one that lights the image the best to create the mood you are looking for.
