Location
The picture was taken in my favourite location Llyn Nantlle Uchaf North Wales.Time
I have visited the spot serval times, and know very well the place always looks nice with the sunset light, especially at Winter. The boats and snowy mountains creating a strong composition, on a windless day, just like on the picture, you can see the mirror reflection of the boats and mountains in the lake and plenty of amazing colours.Lighting
The golden light of the setting sun behind you, catching the snowy mountains and changing the colour of the dramatic sky in every minute, always looks amazing.Equipment
In this shot, I have been using Nikon D800 with Nikon 17-35 f2.8 lens, Lee filters system (1.2 soft grad and circular polarising filter), Gitzo mountaineer 2 series tripodInspiration
Llyn Nantlle Uchaf It's an amazing spot I always knew that you only need patience and good weather condition to do something interesting.Editing
The post-processing when you use the right equipment (camera, lens, filters) it's very simple. In my camera bag
In my serval years of landscape photography adventure, I can say that it is not worth carrying too much in a backpack especially in the mountains ;) I take two lenses with me ( 15-30 f2.8 Tamron G2 version and 24-70 ) one DSLR body Nikon d810, filters, tripod and small Panasonic Lumix Lx100 camera. The equipment should be light as possible on longer routes, packed in one backpack, without any unnecessary bags on the shoulders ;)Feedback
Landscape photography to me its a bit of patience and luck what I wish to all photographers.
