Location
I took this photo of the Western Meadowlark, in Wyoming, which is where it is the state bird.Time
It was early morning, when I took this photo.Lighting
The sun had just come up, and was behind me as I took the photo.Equipment
I shot this Western Meadowlark, with my full frame, Canon 6d mark ii, and Tamron Telephoto lens. Tamron G2 150-600mm lens.Inspiration
I was inspired to take this photo because the Western Meadowlark is the state bird, and is very colorful.Editing
I did a little minor work in Adobe Lightroom to add a some contrast, and bring out the colors more.In my camera bag
I always carry my main two cameras, the Canon 6d mark ii and Sony a600, in my bag, as well as Tamron lens and Sony lenses.Feedback
If interested in birding I would suggest research the area on google, as well as going to that area early morning and evening to see where the sun sets or rises, and see what activity takes place during those times. Also, a telephoto lens of anywhere from 400 to 600mm would be suggestable, although I sometimes shoot with my Tamron f/2.8 70-200 mm.
