tropical sunsets are spectacular with clouds, less so without. A typical sunset or sunrise takes only 10 minutes, so make sure you are there on timeEquipment
My trusted battered D4 and a standard 24-70. My even older Land Rover to get there and decent boots .Inspiration
When it is the end of monsoon season, skies change rapidly. If I can observe an nice set of clouds, a fresh supply of clouds above the volcanoes and strong wind, there will always be a good sunset. I was weekend and I had the leisure to be around. To me, the harmony of the windmills, the sun and the good visibility of the Sierra de Nicoya in the background behind the rice fields in the lowland has always been inspiration enough.Editing
I added a bit more contrast and a very slight crop (an incomplete windmill). I avoid doing more than absolutely necessary. In my camera bag
A D4 , my d800e will be back after repair, a decent manual wide angle, an alround zoom 24-70, the 180mm macro and often a 300mm f2.8. The latter was recently upgraded to a 20 year old Nikkor.Feedback
obsserve the landscape. Know your spots, get up early and be there late. See the beauty of your land
