Behind The Lens

Location

North Leeds, West Yorkshire, UK. Taken at a historic 15th century farmhouse, where it's believed a certain Oliver Cromwell spent about 2-3 weeks residing at.

Time

About 9am.

Lighting

Moody, overcast with sun hidden behind ominous looking clouds, made for a great photo opportunity.

Equipment

Just camera, no other equipment.

Inspiration

I love taking shots of Clouds, I've probably taken in excess of 250,000 clouds photos over past decade or so, but I'm very picky about which ones I end up using! I just saw this dramatic cloud rolling by covering the sun and knew I had to snap it as it would make for a super moody photo. I think that once you know what to look out for the more great shots you'll potentially get. Be prepared.

Editing

Pulled the light down to add drama, a favourite trick of mine for cloud shots.

Battery bank, back up charger.
