Location
This photo was taken on the Eyre highway which connects the Eastern States of Australia with Western Australia. It follows closely beside the Great Australian Bight and much of the drive takes you through swathes of salt bush dotted with these interesting shaped trees. The sea would be not too far away but not visible as there are sheer cliffs.Time
This was shot in full daight. Not my preferred shooting time of morning or late afternoon but sometimes you have to take the opportunity when it's there.Lighting
This was taken in full daylight. Not what I prefer but think it works for this one..Equipment
I shoot with an Olympus OMD _em5 Mark 2. And 40 - 150mm Pro lens.Inspiration
These trees are such an interesting Shape and very scattered so just ask for their photo to be taken!Editing
I use Light room to post process correcting light sharpness etc to enhance but not create an unnatural look. In other words, to create what I saw.In my camera bag
Simple equipment in my small bag. My camera. 2 Pro lenses. 12-40mm 2.8 and 40 - 150mm also 2.8. I have a ma ro lens and portrait lens but use the first mentioned mostly. I have a tripod but use it rarely.Feedback
No specifics. Just take the opportunity when you see it. We travel this road about once a year and always shoot these trees!
