Location
This was taken in my backyard as the storm approached. We can see it over Winnipeg City looking west.Time
This was late in the evening after 10pmLighting
Long exposureEquipment
Tripod, used long exposure to capture lightning strikes. This is not a composition.Inspiration
I love shooting storms and lightning at night is always a fun challenge to try and get the settings/focus and foreground right for that perfect shot.Editing
Not much, just some minor clarification and saturation boost. Cleaned up the grain too.In my camera bag
Extra lense, battery, chargibg cable, cleaning cloth, shutter remote, camera shotgun mic, etc.Feedback
Try different settings before you start shooting away. Take a single pic with different long exposures and settings. Once your focus is right and you like your settings, then start going shutter crazy.
