Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in Denmark in a small city called Herning. I'm a photographer currently studying at the official photography education in Copenhagen.

Time

This photo was taken just before golden hour, so the sunlight was still quite direct - but I personally think the lighting made some beautiful shadows.

Lighting

I made her stand in a good spot of direct sunlight, no shadows.

Equipment

Canon 5D Mark III, 24-70mm 2.8, golden reflector.

Inspiration

Recently I've been interested in art photography, I usually only do editorial/portraits. But I wanted to illustrate the beauty of growing, and the healing that comes with it. We're always changing as human beings, and I think change is good and necessary. The keywords for this picture was growth and healing, but it's also up for interpretation - I would to know what feelings it gives you!

Editing

Made the picture more warm tone, and cropped it quite close. Also did some frequency separation, and made the shadows darker.

In my camera bag

Canon 5D Mark III, 24-70mm 2.8, 50mm 1.4, reflector and my speedlite.
