Location
This lovely area is situated in a Woodland Trust site known as "Little Wold Plantation" situated in the East Riding of Yorkshire.Time
I remember taking this photo before my wife and myself sat on that very bench to enjoy a spot of lunch so early afternoon.Lighting
The only thing about the lighting is that is was 100% natural. The light was creeping through the trees to the left which gave off a lovely golden glow to the surroundings.Equipment
My pride and joy Canon 5D MkIII and a cheap and cheerful 50mm prime was all I needed to capture this photo.Inspiration
It was a local photography groups "Monthly Mission" to shoot anything that symbolises Autumn. I decided to head out and take a walk on the local countryside to blow off the cobwebs. Tht day was a "very" windy day so I had to kneel close to the ground to stabilise myself to get a good shot. The scene just looked perfect to me, a lonely wooden seat, fixed under some lovely arched branches of trees and the leaf littered path leading out of the frame just made for a shot showcasing what I feel is the epitome of Autumn.Editing
Only the slightest of editing using Lightroom 5 to bring out the warmth in the colour, to frame the shot perfectly and check for any under/overexposed highlights. In my camera bag
My main bit of pro kit is my Canon 5D MkIII and that's as far as it goes. In my bag there is a 50mm prime lens and a standard 75-300mm zoom. Some day soon I'm hopeful to be lucky enough to own a 24-105mm F4 L to accompany such a fine camera body.Feedback
Everything you need to envision that perfect shot is right there in your creative mind. Don't feel limited in your creativity just because you don't feel you have all the best equipment. I'm a firm believer of the saying "The best camera you own is the one you have on you right at "that" moment". Just try different angles to add a new diverse approach to your photography to make it stand out amongst the crowd and the most important bit of advice is.......to have fun doing the things you love, that's what got us into photography in the first place, right?
