Location
I took this image of the Rocky Mountains from Pyramid Lake in beautiful Jasper National Park Alberta Canada.Time
I took this at around 9 am when there wasn't as many tourists about yet. It was still brisk weather in June when we were there and it was not the highlight of tourist season yet.Lighting
It was still early enough in the morning that it was a diffused light trying to shine through the cloudy skies.Equipment
I shot this on a tripod with a Nikon D800 and 50mm 1.4 Nikkor Lens @ f/14, shutter speed 1/40s and IOS 100.Inspiration
The natural beauty of the Rocky Mountains is what inspires me to become a better photographer.Editing
I bring the RAW image into PS to do minimal adjustments of contrast, highlights, shadows and cropping then save as a jpeg.In my camera bag
Lately I have been taking two bodies, D3100 with 16-35mm lens attached and Nikon D800 with Sigma 150-500 attached. Also in my bag is Nikon 1.4 lens and my tripod.Feedback
If I get the chance to photograph this location again I would shoot early in the morning to get the sunrise (alpenglow) or later in the evening, I now try to capture the golden hour as much as I can because it adds that soft and beautiful light on everything it touches.
