Long back I envisioned taking a picture of the iconic grand prismatic spring where it would look like a glowing heart. The heart symbolizes to me the connection with the inner most core of the mother earth. When I took this picture I also liked how the veins flowing from the spring join Firehole river and other pools. Taking this picture was not easy since this is visible only from a certain angle and requires hiking to the top of a mountain with steep grades. But at the end it was pure joy.

I adjusted brightness & contrast, increased saturation, and removed parked cars.In my camera bag
I have Pentax K30 camera body and I keep 3 lenses all the time, 18-55 mm F3.5, 55-300 mm F4 and 50 mm F1.8 (My favorite one). I love filters, polarizer, and neutral density are my favorite. I really like my cable release. It allows me to take long exposure shots that I love taking.Feedback
This photo was taken from the mountain top to the south of Grand prismatic spring off the hiking path to Fairy Falls. To capture this view park at the Fairy Falls trail head. Hike just until you get across from the grand prismatic spring and then you can climb the hill to see the view.
