Location
This photo was taken just beside the small lake "Stellisee" / Zermatt / Switzerland. You can easily get there from Zermatt over "Sunegga" to station "Blauherd". After a short walk, you can see the small lake. If you like to sleep over there, there is a restaurant/guesthouse near the lake (you have to book a bed before).Time
I've taken the picture on a really cold morning about 20 minutes before sunrise.Lighting
Well... now I could tell you a great story on how exactly I've planned this photo (and of course every photo...)... but to tell the trouth... for me, taking a picture is acting on instinct. Nothing more. If it feels right, the picture will be right (for me) ;-)Equipment
I've used a Canon EOS 5D Mark III with an EF24-70mm f/2.8L II USM on a tripod and a wireless trigger.Inspiration
My inspiration was my grand father. He has taken, about 50 or 60 years ago, a picture with his small cam on the same place. And my love for sunsets/sunrises.Editing
Yes I did some Lightroom-post-processing on the RAW. But not very much... I don't like spending "hours" with post-processing...In my camera bag
Normally, there is my cam and my 24-70 in my bag. And a bottle of water ;-)Feedback
Just go outside and try. If you don't like the result, go again. And: Don't forget to see the beauty of the moment with your "real eyes and your heart".
