This photo was taken at Cherry Point on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada

Lighting

This photo was back lit by the morning sun.

Equipment

Shot with my Canon T3 and 85mm. I used a reflector to bring light to her face.

Inspiration

My beautiful friend was pregnant with twins. I wanted a photo that made her want to show off her beautiful bump.

Editing

Not much. Just adjusting colour balance and bringing down highlights a bit so she wasn't too bright. It was very bright out especially with the sun reflecting off the ocean.

In my camera bag

I always carry my 50mm and my 85mm, as well as a reflector and flash.

Feedback

Take chances. I am still growing in photography and this was a first for me. It turned out to be my favorite from the shoot. Expose for the subject. The reflector really helped to keep the shadows off of her face...especially with the backlight.
