Behind The Lens

Location

This is one of my favorite places to take pictures of the sunrise, although I've had some bad luck lately with no clouds. I feel clouds help capture the drama from the sun rays. I'm a self taught photographer, only been doing this for about 10 months. Each time I go out , It's a new lesson for me, even when I unhappy with how they come out. Often times I sit here and wonder where these trains are coming and going. It's a moment to day dream.

Time

Early morning waiting on the sun to come up. just enough light to see what im doing but unable to take a sunrise photo. this was at 6:14 AM on September the 4th 2016

Lighting

The only lighting used here was what nature provided for me. Nothing more was needed.

Equipment

I used a Nikon D7100 with the NIKKOR 18-55 mm 3.5-5.6 FS on an old tripod my dad used to use back when he was 19. That was 36 years ago

Inspiration

The ability to day dream about where you could run off to, with no worries in the world.

Editing

Only the littlest bit to help bring out the railroad itself.

In my camera bag

The main equipment I use in my bag is very basic. Only my Nikon D7100 along with the NIKKOR 18-55mm lens and occasionally I''' use one of the filters. For my night shots I light to bring my powerful T2000 flashlight to either light up on item or the whole scene.

Feedback

All I can say is, let mother nature show you what she can provide.
