Location
This photo was taken at the local fair grounds when the annual Fall Fair came through town.Time
I'd always wanted to shoot a long exposure shot of the Ferris Wheel... but I always forgot to bring my tripod with me in the morning. This time, I remembered all my gear, and managed to capture the midway rides one the second night of the fair.Lighting
The night was clear and cool, and all the light came from the fair itself.Equipment
This was shot on my Canon T4i with my Canon 10-22mm wide angle lens, while using my tripod and lens release cable.Inspiration
Trying to capture the mood and feeling of the fair grounds, this concept showed everything in motion, will all the colours and sights of the fairground.Editing
The only post processing I did on this one was bumping up the contrast and saturation a bit to really make it pop.In my camera bag
I always have my Canon t4i body with me, as well as my 50mm prime, my 10-22mm Wide Angle and my 75-200mm telephoto lens. I also have 2 Newer Flashes, my lens release cable and extra memory cards.Feedback
Just try it. There's nothing like learning through doing. A steady Tripod is key... and a lens release makes it much easier. Start with a couple seconds, and increase the time until you find something you love.
