Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken at Thanda NP in South-Africa.

Time

Noon

Lighting

Because of the time of the day the light is warm and soft

Equipment

Nikon D800, nikkor 80-400, no flash, hand held

Inspiration

As a voluntair in nature protection project we followed two prides of lions in this area and this is the male Skondla Skondla.

Editing

I did used Lightroom for the global processing and small changes in Photoshop.

In my camera bag

I only use one camera on my shoots and in this case only 80-400 mm for wildlife photos.

Feedback

You must understand it took me one month in Africa to make photos like that, so if you have an opportunity to spot a lion this close you are a lucky bstrd ;-)
