I took this photo in a beach of Portugal, near my home. I searched in Google maps for cool places to take some seascapes and I found this one, with a little stream with a cool S curve that ended in those big rocks.Time
I got at the beach quite early to wait for the sunset, I had a lot of time to search for a cool composition.Lighting
I wanted a long exposure and those clouds and the stream really helped a lot to get the sense of movement I was searching for.Equipment
I took this photo with my Nikon D750 and my 16-35 mm lens. Of course I had to use a tripod as I went for a long exposure. I used a polarizing filter to cut a bit of the reflection on the water. To get the long exposure I also used a 6 stops ND filter and a 4 stops graduated ND to darken a bit the sky.Inspiration
Going out to take some photos is almost therapeutic for me, it makes me feel so good even if I don't get the photo I was going for.Editing
I did quite a lot of edit to the photo. I corrected the white balance and the exposure and some sharpening. I also balanced the exposition of the sky.In my camera bag
Apart from the D750 and the 24-70mm lens, I usually have with me a 20mm f1.8 lens and a 16-35mm f4 from Nikkor , and a little collection of filters (10 stops and 6 stops ND filters, 4 stops medium GND and 3 stops soft GND). I always have with me a little torch as I usually end shooting really close to the night and also a power bank for my phone, not a good thing to have a dying battery when you are out and alone.Feedback
