Location
At the time i made this photo i had my studio in a former '30 style school in Amstelhoek, near Amsterdam. This photo was taken at the schoolyard.Time
Around 1.15 pm i took this shot, it was an overcast day.Lighting
The cloudy sky made a huge softbox for me, but the clouds were not very dense so there was some direction and warmth from the sun in the shadows.Equipment
For this shot i used my Olympus Pen-f with the most beautiful portrait lens ever made for MFT, the Leica DG Nocticron 42,5mm f1.2.Inspiration
During the shoot i had with Danny we took a short break for a sigarette i noticed the tattoos on his fingers and asked him to pose like this. I think hands are the most intriguing tools, and especially the tools from a creator like him.Editing
I used Lightroom and photoshop to make this photo. I'm a fan of textures, contrast and warmth, so thats wat i'm tweaking to get.In my camera bag
I switched from Olympus MFT to Sony recently, my main camera is the A7III and an A7C as backup and for video. My most used lenses are the Zeiss 55mm f1.8 and the Sony 85mm f1.8.Feedback
Always look for details that help to tell a story and train yourself to search for the right light.
