Location
This photo was taken at the Arataki visitors centre in the Waitakere Ranges, Auckland, New ZealandTime
We visited in the afternoonLighting
The gecko was in a terrarium, the lighting was ambient indoors lighting.Equipment
The camera if I remember correct was a handheld Olympus OM 40.Inspiration
It is not often that you get a clean shot of these small animals so I didn't hesitate when I had the chance.Editing
No.In my camera bag
My camera, with plenty of spare batteries. I have recently bought a tripod so that I can experiment with longer exposures.Feedback
Be patient and take lots of shots. Watch the animal and come back if needed. If your camera has a burst feature use it. However, this was taken in single shot mode.
