Afghanistan at Camp Leatherneck.Time
Mid afternoonLighting
Nothing special about the light. It was a bright dusty day in the desert of AfghanistanEquipment
Canon 40DInspiration
Our command was having competitions to keep morale up. This was a relay race taking place and the ammo cans being carried were full of sand which made it very difficult. The heat and dust didn't help matters at all. The dust was so fine there it was like stepping into 10 inches of baby powder.Editing
I changed everything to black and white with exception to the body armor and parts of the ammo cansIn my camera bag
Canon 5D MkII, 70-200 mm lens, 50 mm lens, and a tripod.Feedback
Never let a chance slip you by. with my camera taken with me to Afghanistan I was also asked to take photos for numerous events and VIP's visiting the area. to include senators and congressman.
