Beautifully captured and processed shot. :) Looks like a cover of a fairy-tale book. Just a fairy or two on those branches, and we are set. :)
Lovely!
Lovely!

This shot is outstanding. Live how it works in B&W. I need to work on developing my eye for that genere. It's truly powerful.

The great contrast on the oak branches along with the oak highlights separate so well against the low contrast sky. It is a great full tonal range with tons of details and textures.

Location
I took this photo in Pleasanton, CA, at a little park that used to be a dairy farm. It was my birthday, and my mom took me out shooting.Time
It was probably the middle of the day.Lighting
The light was just all natural.Equipment
I think I might have still had my Canon Rebel XT back when I took this. And I was using a Tamron lens, 28-80mm. No flash or tripod were used.Inspiration
I absolutely love oak trees! And as I was walking around shooting, I looked up a bit and saw that the branches of this one tree were making the most beautiful shapes and design!Editing
This image actually just sat in my files for about a year and a half! I tried once or twice to do something with it in that time, but was never satisfied. Then one day I pulled it up again, and all I did was convert it to black and white in Photoshop, and I loved it! And that was that!In my camera bag
I try to carry as little as possible when I'm out shooting. I usually have my Canon 5D Mark II, with my Canon 24-105mm L series lens attached, a handful of filters (circular polarizer, UV, and neutral density), a remote trigger, a couple of extra memory cards, and a couple of spare batteries.Feedback
Don't forget to look up!!
