Every few weeks I go back through my shots of New Mexico and find photos to get exited about. The skies weren’t rich in stormy weather and clouds, but they were profound in hue and the subtleness of graduated transitions that carried into the desert terrain below.⁣
⁣
This is an exposure blend, with the first image of the foreground-sky taken just after sunset during the Blue hour, and the second shot of the stars taken only about an hour afterwards. Although I left like the sky was insanely stunning by itself, with the richness of color and orange glow fading into dark purple, I think the stars add a little something extra special.⁣

Since you asked...I think it's a terrific blend. Other worldly, in fact. It reminds me of the covers of the sci-fi novels I read as a kid, long before there were NASA missions to actually to send back photos from those distant orbs. Overall, your work is a pleasure to view, with beautiful colors and creative compositions.
