Four days of continuous snowfall has left Utah covered in a thick blanket of snow, with over 5 feet in the mountains from this storm!
I had been watching the weather closely, looking for breaks in the storm system. Finally on the 3rd day, the clouds began to thin and low pressure pushed them a little lower in elevation, so I figured this was the chance I was waiting for. Rushing up to the top of the mountain in time to watch the sun retire for the evening.
It was magical to watch ice particles in the air interact with the sun slicing through the thinning clouds, and swirling around the tops of the trees flowing over a ridge-line.
