I really love old fence posts. And when I see one like this, I have to stop and capture it because I'm sure eventually it will be replaced by something metal. The fact that it has so much character will be lost on the farmer, who is more practical than I am. I should stop and tell him that when he replaces it to call me .... I'd take it and put it in my house somewhere!
