Rising above the suburbs of Salt Lake City, Mount Olympus, with its intimidating sheer north face, is one of SLC’s most striking peaks.
I remember my first time climbing the classic ‘West Slabs’ back in 2009 (wow, can’t believe that was ten years ago). Leaning towards 10 pitches and roughly 1700’ of vertical climbing. It was pure freedom. Overlooking the valley below, I could see everything. Ever since then, whenever I look at this mountain, I have a sense of joy and reflection.
