I thought you had made up something when I saw the small shot! It looked like Ursa Major in the sky of stars! This is an absolute masterpiece!

Location
This moment was captured in Keenesburg, CO @ The Wild Animal Sanctuary. Utilizing their "Mile in the Sky" elevated walkway through the park, this walkway is about 20ft above many of the rescued animals. Really makes for a wonderful vantage point to capture shots of the wildlife.Time
I believe this was early in the afternoon, the sun was still high in the sky coming in at a slight angle. It was a very hot day for spring, so many of the animals were enjoying the water. "Tiny" the Grizzly was no exception, he was having a blast in his pool.Lighting
The sun was super bright and no cloud cover. Part of "Tiny's" face was directly in the angle of the sun. I believe the bright sun helped with the capture of this image. Without the intense lighting, I'm not sure I could have captured the unique pattern of the water droplets.Equipment
Camera: Sony A580, Lens: Sigma 150-500mm, Handheld & no lens filter. Focal length: 400mm, Shutter: 1/4000, Aperture: f/6.3, ISO: 800Inspiration
I will admit, this is the first time I had ever used 1/4000 shutter speed. The Grizzly Bears (Tiny & Boris), were spending time in the pool to keep cool. I just hoped I could capture some cool action shots of them playing together. Never thought I would capture something as cool as this, and this could be a once in a lifetime shot.Editing
Mainly just increased detail/sharpness, deepen the contrast, & then black/white conversion. (You can also view the color version in our gallery)In my camera bag
Our most current: Cameras: Nikon D5500, Sony A77, Galaxy S6, and Galaxy Note 7, Lenses: Sigma 150-500mm, Sigma 18-250mm, Nikon 18 - 140mm, Mixed filters & Tripod, Ipad Air 2, Ipad Mini 4, & Ipad Mini 2Feedback
We are both amateurs and still have tons to learn about our cameras. So if you are anything like us; start to use settings on your camera that you may not utilize or understand. It's the only way to really get to know your equipment. Trial & Error is a great learning tool.
